A series of powerful earthquakes which struck Asia and South America this month could be followed by a ‘mega’ quake in the near future, a scientist has claimed.
This month could prove to be the deadliest month for quakes since March 2011, when a 9.0 struck Japan, killing at least 20,000 people, causing a massive tsunami, landslides and widespread damage to buildings and infrastructure.
Massive quakes this month have already killed hundreds in Japan and Ecuador.
But the big question being asked by many experts is when will the big one hit the west coast of the US?
The last time a major quake struck California was way back in March, 2014 when a M 6.8 – Struck 78km WNW of Ferndale.
By the shear number of major earthquakes which have occurred around the ring of fire recently many experts believe the ‘law of averages’ would suggest a big one is well overdue for the California area.
Below ‘A big one is overdue.’

There is evidence of sidewalks buckling, along with roads collapsing and landslides in the California area
Superstation95 Reports of sidewalks outside of Palm Springs, CA are starting to lift up off the ground as the same force which caused the earthquakes in Ecuador and Japan is now hitting California; pressure from the Pacific Tectonic plate has now begun crushing into the US west coast. Before you say it, NO, there are no tree roots underneath, this buckling took place since yesterday, April 20.

And in March, Canyon Road between Lost Creek Road and Vasquez Way, in California, engineers and geologists were examining a road to determine what was causing it to crack and move, he said. The hillside slipped but instead of spilling over the road, it went under the pavement, Frasher said. Now the road is growing upward and expanding.
Frasher said there is no way to stop the soil movement, so for now geologists and engineers are just watching the ground and hoping it stops growing.

On February 27th an enormous amount of Carbon Monoxide leaked into the atmosphere along the West coast of America.
It was the amount of Carbon Monoxide which was simply stunning and led NASA to claim it was a satellite glitch.
It led The Big Wobble to ask is the San Andreas Fault about to shift? Unprecedented amounts of Carbon Monoxide released into the atmosphere along the West coast of the US
It is well understood that large amounts of Carbon Monoxide is released into the atmosphere before an earthquake, however the amount of Carbon Monoxide release on the 27th of Feb is as far as I can tell unprecedented.
